Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting overall financial operations. This position offers a flexible schedule ideal for individuals with a passion for accounting and finance who thrive in a collaborative environment. Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will be essential to ensure compliance with accounting standards and facilitate smooth financial processes.

Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and journal entries using accounting QuickBooks Desktop
Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
Process payroll and handle payroll-related transactions in compliance with applicable regulations
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections
Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to verify the integrity of financial data and resolve discrepancies promptly

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
Proficiency using QuickBooks Desktop accounting software
Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation
Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), 10-key typing, and data entry accuracy
Ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation efficiently
Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and government reporting requirements preferred
