Full Job Description

Dish and Design Catering is adding to their Team

We are looking for a motivated & Experienced Event Planner to assist in our Event Planning. Duties of the Event Planner include meeting with potential clients, menu planning, proposals, tastings, event staff scheduling and on site event assistance. The ideal candidate should have excellent communications skills and enjoy working with people. If you have previous experience in Catering & Event planning we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Event Planner will oversee and plan all Specialty Events and build this Brand of the Company.

Responsibilities:

Must have excellent people and communication skills, be able to work closely with others in a small Team
Execute events on site with a catering Team or get the client set up with the catering team
Direct point of contact with clients' through all stages from initial contact, proposal negotiations and finalized booking of catering and event sales
Conduct site visits and in office tastings and meetings with clients.

Requirements:

Office management duties: use of in-house catering software (Caterease) , phone and email correspondence (outlook)
Create proposals uniquely designed to fit each clients specific vision of their event in all aspects; food and beverage, floor plan and rentals.
Assist in daily coordination of event set up / delivery logistics
Execute events on site with a catering Team or get the client set up with the catering team
Create and execute the design for each food set up specific to each event

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Qualifications

Proven experience in event planning and management
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Proficiency in budgeting and financial oversight for events
Familiarity with catering services and banquet operations
Background in hospitality, including hotel or restaurant experience
Ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

Holidays
Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

Mount Pleasant, SC 29464: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

Events management: 3 years (Required)
Customer service: 3 years (Required)
