Music & Entertainment Publicist / PR Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and extremely resourceful Music & Entertainment Publicist / PR Manager to help expand an artist’s visibility, relationships, opportunities, and overall public presence.
This is not a position for someone who simply sends press releases. We are looking for someone who is constantly networking, creating opportunities, building relationships, and finding new ways to keep the artist and brand visible and relevant.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, podcasters, influencers, photographers, videographers, stylists, freelancers, event organizers, promoters, brands, and other entertainment professionals.
- Actively seek opportunities for interviews, podcasts, articles, performances, appearances, events, collaborations, brand partnerships, premieres, features, and other forms of exposure.
- Develop genuine relationships with freelancers and independent creatives who can contribute to campaigns, content, photography, video, writing, styling, events, and other projects.
- Consistently network online and in person to expand the artist's circle within music, entertainment, fashion, fitness, culture, and media.
- Pitch the artist, music, story, and upcoming projects to relevant media outlets and individuals.
- Help develop and execute PR strategies around singles, albums, music videos, announcements, events, and major career moments.
- Identify compelling stories and angles surrounding the artist and turn them into narratives that media and audiences will care about.
- Use AI tools to assist with drafting pitches, scripts, talking points, press releases, interview preparation, outreach messages, campaign concepts, research, and storytelling.
- Help create scripts and talking points for interviews, videos, announcements, social content, and public appearances while maintaining the artist's authentic voice.
- Research current conversations, trends, media opportunities, and cultural moments that the artist can naturally participate in.
- Maintain organized media, freelancer, influencer, brand, and industry contact lists.
- Follow up consistently with contacts and turn introductions into long-term professional relationships.
- Think beyond traditional publicity by identifying unconventional opportunities that can increase awareness and build the artist's overall brand.
Who We're Looking For
You should be outgoing, persuasive, creative, organized, internet-savvy, and extremely comfortable reaching out to people you don't already know.
You should understand that great publicity comes from relationships and persistence. We want someone who sees an opportunity and immediately thinks, "How do I get our artist involved?"
Experience in music, entertainment, PR, journalism, influencer marketing, social media, nightlife, fashion, or another relationship-driven industry is strongly preferred.
Existing relationships are valuable, but the ability to create new relationships is even more important.
You should also be comfortable using modern technology and AI as tools to move faster, research smarter, communicate better, and develop stronger campaigns.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means our network is constantly growing, new opportunities are consistently being created, media relationships are becoming stronger, and the artist is increasingly appearing in the right conversations, rooms, publications, platforms, events, and collaborations.
We are looking for someone who can become a genuine connector and opportunity generator for the artist's career, not simply someone who waits for opportunities to come to us.
