Estimator – Residential & Commercial Renovation

Mr. Handyman of Kanawha Valley
Serving Kanawha, Putnam & Cabell Counties, WV

Mr. Handyman of Kanawha Valley is a locally owned, established renovation and improvement company serving homeowners and businesses throughout the region. We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in remodeling, renovations, and capital improvement work to help us continue growing profitably—especially on the commercial side.

This role is ideal for someone who understands construction from the field, knows how to scope work accurately, and is comfortable using estimating software to build professional, margin-driven estimates.

What You’ll Do

- Meet with homeowners and commercial clients to evaluate renovation and improvement projects
- Develop clear, detailed scopes of work for remodeling, renovations, and capital improvements
- Build accurate estimates using estimating software (ServiceTitan or similar platforms)
- Price projects to meet company margin standards while remaining competitive
- Present estimates professionally and follow up to close approved work
- Collaborate with technicians and office staff to ensure estimates convert smoothly into jobs

Who We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of estimating experience in remodeling, renovation, or light commercial construction
- Strong understanding of labor productivity, materials, and job costing
- Hands-on field background (carpentry, remodeling, construction, or project lead experience strongly preferred)
- Comfortable using estimating or job management software (ServiceTitan experience is a plus, not required)
- Professional communicator who can explain scope and pricing clearly to customers
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable for accuracy and margin

What This Role Is (and Is Not)

✔ A dedicated estimating role focused on accuracy, profitability, and growth
✔ Involved in residential and commercial renovation work
✘ Not a daily field technician role
✘ Not a general sales-only position

Compensation & Benefits

- $51,750 base salary (based on experience)
- Quarterly performance incentives tied to closed revenue and margin
