Staff Accountant | Office Manager | Executive Support

Full-Time Johns Island, South Carolina

We are a luxury custom home builder committed to superior craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and an unmatched client experience. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional to oversee our financial operations, office administration, compliance, and executive support while serving as a trusted partner to the Owners.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a traditional accounting position. As one of the most trusted members of our team, you will influence the financial and operational success of Seaboard Builders while helping improve processes and supporting the continued growth of our company.

Accounting & Financial Operations

Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and daily cash flow.
Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports.
Manage bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Monitor collections with professionalism while maintaining strong client relationships.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Coordinate with banks, outside CPA, tax professionals, and insurance auditors.
Improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, Buildertrend, and related software.

Office Management

Oversee daily office operations, office supplies, vendor relationships, and IT coordination.
Maintain corporate records, insurance documentation, and organized filing systems.
Support company meetings, special projects, and administrative operations.

Compliance & Corporate Administration

Manage and maintain all company business licenses, contractor licenses, municipal business licenses, and regulatory registrations.
Coordinate all filings and renewals with local municipalities and the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR).
Monitor compliance deadlines to ensure the company remains in good standing.

Executive Support

Provide executive support to the Owners, including scheduling, confidential correspondence, and special projects.
Manage personal bookkeeping and financial administration for the Owners when requested.

Qualifications

Five or more years of progressive accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience.
Strong QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Construction industry and Buildertrend experience preferred.
