Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Entry Screener in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and deliveries, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping maintain an orderly environment. At Allied Universal, you will be part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Monitor access points and conduct screening of people, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post procedures to help support security-related operations.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening area, loading and receiving zones, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
