Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead and scale multi-region field operations, ensuring consistent execution, accountability, and performance across the organization. This senior leadership role partners closely with the Director of U.S. Operations to oversee execution, implement strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams. Success in this role is defined by consistent execution across regions, strong team performance, and measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and scalability.

Direct traffic data experience is not required; experience managing field-based, multi-region operations is required. The Regional Operations Manager will receive thorough training on all equipment, software, and procedures used for the safe and accurate collection of traffic data.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Report directly to the Director of U.S. Operations and serve as a key leader within the national operations structure.
Oversee multi-region operational performance, including resource planning, execution, compliance, and personnel development.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
Partner on operational budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term strategic planning.
Conduct operational audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Prepare executive-level reports and performance briefings.

Regional & Field Oversight

Manage regional teams overseeing transportation data collection projects.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, training coordination, and full employee lifecycle management.
Provide guidance to operations management teams on planning and resource allocation.
Supervise field projects as needed.
Contribute procedural improvements to increase efficiency and communication.
Test and evaluate new equipment and operational systems.

Contract & Resource Management

Manage contract planning, liaison, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Oversee inventory management and vehicle operations.
Coordinate vehicle purchases, maintenance, and repairs.
Analyze operational efficiency, vehicle utilization, and staffing metrics.

Field Engagement (As Needed)

Provide field-level oversight and support to ensure operational standards
Participate in training, audits, and process validation efforts
Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols

Required Skills and Experience:

5–8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including multi-region or multi-site oversight
Demonstrated experience managing field operations
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience reporting operational performance to senior leadership.
Advanced proficiency in data analysis and operational reporting (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
Experience implementing process improvement initiatives that resulted in measurable efficiency gains
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% nationally
Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with field-based service industries is strongly preferred. A logistics background without field management would not be qualified for this position.
Lean / Six Sigma certification or equivalent process discipline
Experience managing equipment-intensive or asset-heavy field operations
Experience in transportation, data collection, infrastructure, or technology-enabled field services.
