1Job Title: Commercial Roofing Estimator

Location: South Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $90K-$110K DOE + bi-annual bonus

Tiello has partnered with a well-established roofing contractor in the South Charlotte, NC area that is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for roofing projects. The Estimator will evaluate project specifications, drawings, and site conditions to support successful bidding, budgeting, and project planning efforts.

This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project feasibility, cost accuracy, and alignment with overall project goals.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents to develop accurate estimates
Perform site visits to gather field information and assess project scope and conditions
Analyze labor, material, and equipment requirements for roofing projects
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients during preconstruction and bidding phases
Assist in evaluating project feasibility and budgeting requirements
Review and revise estimates as project scope or pricing changes
Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, takeoffs, and related project documentation
Support the team with pricing strategies and cost analysis as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of knowledge of estimating commercial roofing projects
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency with estimating software
Previous experience in the roofing or broader construction industry

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred, but not required)
