Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient processing of shipments, ensuring that products are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. Your expertise in warehouse operations, shipping logistics, and inventory management will help us maintain seamless distribution workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and customer satisfaction are paramount.

Essential Job Results:

Ensures timely and thorough completion of daily goals by:

Making and assembling shipping boxes.
Using scan gun to pick orders, flag bins for maintenance, and look up bins for product put backs.
Helping with pick setup.
Chipping in and placing packages on the line.
Alerting supervisor to any technical issues with labels, computer systems, orders, etc.

Creates a positive customer experience and adds value to the company’s reputation by:

Packaging items in the appropriate box with correct packing materials to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
Meeting monthly accuracy goals.
Preventing damaged goods from shipping to a customer

Ensures a clean and safe working environment by:

Maintaining a clean work area, keeping an eye out for areas in need of tidiness and chipping in where needed.
Complying with all OSHA and safety regulations.

Supports accuracy, efficiency, and other departmental needs by:

Being an active participant and advocate of CARE (Community, Attention to Detail, Responsibility, & Environment).
Becoming familiar with all shipping supplies on hand and providing feedback on inventory needs
Scanning tote labels and products to ship with a focus on speed and accuracy.
Mastering the Mobile Picking Process and being able to identify which products qualify as a MP eligible item versus which do not.
Participating in zone maintenance.
Cross training with other roles in the Distribution Center at managers discretion.
Supporting other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse management systems and inventory management software.
Strong knowledge of shipping logistics and order fulfillment processes.
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred.
Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, stock management, and order picking tasks.
