Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Country Inn & Suites Charlotte University. The position requires strong customer service skills and a great attitude. Customer service must be at an all-time high. Choice Advantage and Choice Hotels experience is a plus, but not required.

Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include:

GREAT ATTITUDE IS A MUST!
Performing all check-in and check-out tasks
Managing online and phone reservations
Informing customers about payment methods and verifying their credit card data
Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Issues room keys and gives directions.
Sorts incoming mail and faxes for guests
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts
Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests
Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations
Posts charges such as laundry, faxes, and copies to guest room ledger
Must be knowledgeable of all in-house services and be able to assist customers when questioned.
Room directions along with hotel outlets and hours of operation must be explained to all customers.
Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate
Keep the front desk clean and orderly
Maintain updated records of bookings and payments

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
