Position Description
Responsibilities & Duties:

Operation of Equipment: Safely operate heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers to install and repair underground utilities.
Site Preparation: Prepare work sites by clearing debris, leveling terrain, and ensuring proper access for machinery.
Utility Installation: Install, maintain, and repair underground utilities, including water, sewer, gas, and electrical lines.
Excavation: Conduct excavation work to create trenches for utility installation while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
Documentation: Maintain records of work performed, including installation details, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
Coordination with Teams: Collaborate with other construction personnel and utility workers to ensure efficient project execution.
Maintenance of Equipment: Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Training and Mentorship: Train new operators or laborers in safe operating procedures and equipment use.

Position Requirements
Requirements:

Proven experience operating equipment in heavy civil construction projects.
Strong understanding of operating techniques, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Open to personal and professional training and development
