Role
We are seeking a professional, goal oriented Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day clinic operations of our Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic. This role includes managing workflows, systems, inventory, compliance, resource management and direct supervision of our clinics medical support staff. The Practice Manager will drive the clinic’s success by implementing efficient workflows, maintaining high standards of medical and administrative support, and promoting a positive team culture. This position is Monday - Friday. Since our Clinic does not offer any emergency or sick care, we are not open on the weekends, holidays or nights and there are no "on-call" requirements. Pay is between $60,000 - $65,000 dependent on experience.
Some Major Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinics to ensure efficiency, quality patient care, and excellent client service.
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement approved process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Supervise RVT's, Veterinary Assistants and administrative staff, and support personnel to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Address client concerns and support a high standard of customer service, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA, DHHS, Department of Agriculture, and applicable veterinary and regulatory standards.
- Support development and management of departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee operational processes related to billing, deposits, inventory, and financial recordkeeping in coordination with Finance
- Support outreach and service utilization strategies that expand equitable community access to care and reflect a nonjudgmental, people-centered approach to service delivery.
- Support implementation of strategic initiatives, service expansion, and operational improvements aligned with organizational priorities and community access goals.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum 3 years of veterinary medical experience.
- Required: Experience with medical records systems, scheduling software, and data reporting; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: Veterinary practice or high-volume clinic operations management experience.
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years of supervisory or staff management experience.
- Commitment to the mission of the Humane Society of Charlotte and providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary practice operations, staff supervision, budgeting, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, organizational, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
