POSITION TITLE: SENIOR DIRECTOR OF CRISIS SERVICES

An opportunity to develop and lead a high functioning team responding to people experiencing a psychiatric emergency with a continuum of crisis services that offer respectful and timely support. Position functions as part of the leadership team for the agency, making decisions that impact priorities, direction, and pace of services for the community.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an FLSA-exempt leadership position responsible for the strategic oversight, administration, and supervision of all programs and staff within the Center for Crisis Services. The Senior Director serves as the executive leader for all services within this center of Region Ten, including Emergency Services, Wellness Recovery, 23-Hour Observation/Chair Services, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) initiatives, Forensic Services and Mobile Crisis Services. The incumbent is accountable for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of the center, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and compliant service delivery across programs. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Region Ten and operates with a high degree of autonomy. The Senior Director is responsible for contributing to and implementing organizational policies, strategic objectives, and programmatic initiatives. The role establishes standards for service development, delivery, and operational excellence across the continuum of crisis care in addition to fiscal responsibility. The incumbent is expected to perform all duties in accordance with professional ethics, applicable federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements, and Region Ten policies. Performance will be evaluated annually by the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE

The candidate must demonstrate a successful history of progressive leadership, including management and supervision at a senior level, fiscal fluency and responsibility, high professional ethics, and collaboration with internal and external partners within previous roles.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in emergency services, substance use treatment, and/or crisis stabilization is required.
The incumbent must demonstrate advanced expertise in program operations, leadership, and staff supervision within behavioral health and crisis services.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is required
To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the program, a valid Virginia Driver’s License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles are required. For business use of a personal car, a certificate of valid personal automobile insurance

must be provided.

GRADE: 17

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $93,717.09 - $140,575.63
