As a Crutchfield Technical Support Specialist, you will:

Provide technical support to customers who have purchased product from Crutchfield.
Engage our customers with a calm, interested and professional demeanor.
Help customers understand and utilize their equipment.
Troubleshoot technical or product issues (for both home and car equipment). This involves diagnosing problems, offering solutions, and/or providing step-by-step instructions to help customers resolve their issues.
Actively listen to the customer to determine their needs, and paraphrasing, to clarify.

Qualifications:

Passion for customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Previous customer service, retail, restaurant and/or a background in electronic (and other related fields) along with DIY experience is recommended but not required.
Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills.
Ability and willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
Proficient computer skills.
Highly self-motivated
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through phone, email, and chat.
Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule that will include working 1 weekend day per week
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus

Training:

If you don't know everything about electronics, no worries. Every new team of Technical Support Specialists receives 10 weeks of paid, hands-on training with an experienced Tech Trainer before working with customers independently. Our next training class is scheduled to begin September 21st, 2026.

Salary and Benefits:

The starting pay is $19.73/hour, with potential for a performance-based bonus of up to $300 every three months. This full-time position comes with a comprehensive benefit package including health two health insurance plans to choose from along with dental and vision insurance plan options. We also offer a competitive wellness program, tuition reimbursement, 401K retirement plan, relaxed dress code, and discounts on the fun stuff we sell. You're even allowed to bring your dog to work! Onsite and Remote Work:

Our new Technical Support Specialists will be trained onsite in Charlottesville, VA, but after training you will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule which allows 2 days working from home and 3 days working onsite per week. All remote work must be done within the Commonwealth of Virginia to qualify for a hybrid schedule.
