PRN Wellness Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

Pay: $25 - $35 per hour
Schedule: Flexible weekday and weekend availability; no overnight shifts
Start Date: Immediately

A Refreshing Change from Traditional Bedside Nursing

The DRIPBaR Charlottesville is seeking friendly, dependable Registered Nurses to join our clinical team on a flexible PRN basis.

Located on Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall, The DRIPBaR provides IV vitamin therapy and intramuscular vitamin injections in a beautiful, welcoming wellness environment. While some clients visit us for additional support when they are not feeling their best, most come proactively to support their energy, immunity, hydration, recovery, and overall wellness.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who wants to supplement another nursing position, work while attending graduate school, return to nursing on a limited schedule, or gain additional experience in IV therapy—without taking on another demanding hospital or traditional medical-office schedule.

We are not asking you to give us all your time. We are looking for nurses who can reliably contribute the availability that works for them.

Responsibilities:

Welcome clients and help create a comfortable, positive treatment experience
Review relevant health information and conduct appropriate nursing assessments
Perform venipuncture and safely insert, monitor, and discontinue peripheral IV lines
Administer IV infusions and intramuscular vitamin injections according to authorized orders, established protocols, and applicable nursing standards
Monitor clients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to changes, adverse reactions, or emergencies
Educate clients about the treatment process, expected experience, and appropriate aftercare
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Follow infection-control, medication-safety, privacy, and emergency-response procedures
Maintain clean and properly prepared treatment areas
Communicate professionally with clients, fellow nurses, clinic leadership, and medical providers
Help support a safe, organized, and welcoming clinic environment

Required Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Virginia RN license or qualifying multistate compact RN license
Current BLS certification
Demonstrated competency and confidence with peripheral IV insertion
Knowledge of safe medication administration and infection-control procedures
Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to infusion reactions and other clinical concerns
Strong communication and client-service skills
Dependable, professional, and comfortable working with appropriate independence
Willingness to complete all required DRIPBaR training and follow established clinical protocols

Experience:

Previous IV, infusion, emergency, critical-care, outpatient, wellness, or medical-aesthetic experience is helpful but not required.

Newly licensed RNs with demonstrated IV competency are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold an active RN license before independently performing nursing responsibilities in this position.

Scheduling:

This position is intentionally designed to accommodate nurses with other professional, educational, or family commitments.

We welcome applicants who can offer dependable recurring availability as well as those interested in occasional PRN coverage. Available hours and preferred shifts will be discussed during the interview process.
