Position Summary
Lion Lead Homes is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled Lead Carpenter / Field Supervisor capable of leading a field crew while actively working in the field alongside the team.
This position requires someone with broad residential construction knowledge who can complete high-quality work with minimal supervision while helping maintain production schedules, jobsite organization, and workmanship standards.
The ideal candidate is experienced in multiple phases of residential construction and can transition between tasks as needed while helping coordinate crew activities and maintain efficiency on the jobsite.

Primary Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Jobsite Execution
- Lead and organize daily field crew activities
- Maintain production flow and daily progress
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Help train and guide less experienced crew members
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
- Communicate jobsite needs, delays, or material shortages to management
Hands-On Construction Work:
Must be capable of independently performing and/or assisting with most residential construction phases, including:
- Framing
- Roofing
- Siding installation
- Drywall hanging and finishing
- Flooring installation
- Interior and exterior trim work
- Door installation
- Window installation
- Painting
- Cabinet installation
- Deck construction
- General carpentry and punch-out work
Additional experience in other residential construction phases is strongly preferred.
Quality Control:
- Ensure workmanship meets company quality expectations
- Identify and correct problems before they become major issues
- Maintain attention to detail throughout all phases of work
- Ensure completed work is clean, professional, and client-ready
Jobsite Coordination:
- Help coordinate workflow between trades and crew members
- Read and interpret plans, layouts, and measurements
- Assist with material planning and organization
- Maintain awareness of upcoming work phases and project timelines
Requirements:
Experience:
- Strong residential construction background
- Experience across multiple construction phases
- Previous crew leadership experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to read tape measure and construction plans accurately
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain production pace
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but Valuable):
- Equipment operation experience
- Basic blueprint reading
- Experience with remodeling and new construction
- Ability to troubleshoot field issues independently
- Multi-trade versatility
