Full Job Description

Renting out a property—whether you’re a real-estate investor or a traditional homeowner—can be a headache. From screening residents and handling evictions to addressing late-night maintenance calls, the challenges are significant. Often, homeowners outsource this work to property management companies. Unfortunately, these companies do not always treat the property with the same level of attention as the owner.

In 2019, a group of real-estate investors in Chattanooga decided they’d had enough of unreliable property management services. Determined to create a better solution, they founded Doorby to manage their own properties. Since then, it has grown into Chattanooga’s largest single-family home property manager, overseeing 1,260 units. In just the last two years, Doorby’s properties under management have grown 78%!

Role Description

The Residential Cleaner plays a vital role in presenting Doorby’s managed properties in pristine condition. This team member is responsible for cleaning and preparing vacant homes between tenant turnovers and supporting routine cleaning standards across properties.

As our cleaner, you’ll help shape the systems, standards, and workflows that define how we care for homes. We’ll give you steady hours, high-quality supplies, and a clear checklist that keeps things organized and easy to follow. No guesswork—just great results and a team that’s got your back.

You’ll work across some of Chattanooga’s most charming neighborhoods, from the historic Southside to the scenic North Shore. Whether you're into mountain views, local coffee shops, or just being part of something that matters, Doorby offers more than a job—it’s a place to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed cleaning of residential properties including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and storage areas.
Execute turnover cleanings following Doorby’s cleaning checklist.
Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues during cleanings.
Ensure homes are ready for showings or new residents on schedule for move in.
Maintain and transport cleaning supplies and equipment.
Communicate effectively with the office team regarding job status and property conditions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards
Time management and the ability to complete tasks on deadline
Professionalism and respect for client property
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication
Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and safe usage practices
Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning.
Ability to follow detailed checklists and maintain high standards.
Dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Strong time management and communication skills.
Must pass a background check.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday daytime business hours with some flexibility for emergency requests
Full-time hours
