Hope Children's Coordinator

Location: Chattanooga, TN, 37411

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hope Children's Coordinator to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth and domestic violence victims/survivors, providing case management, outreach, and advocacy services. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to supporting children impacted by trauma and domestic violence.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or a related field from an accredited university is required.

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing case management, programming, outreach, and/or advocacy for youth or domestic violence victims/survivors is required.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent writing skills, oral communication, and ability to empathize and build rapport with clients.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Ability to work effectively as a team member with people of various backgrounds including domestic violence (DV) survivors.
Ability to work within the framework of the agency and follow established agency procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships within and outside the agency, including law enforcement, Child Protective Services (CPS), social service agencies, local schools, and other professional organizations.
Ability to organize own time and effort while prioritizing multiple tasks according to immediacy and urgency and work effectively to meet deadlines.
Ability to attend meetings and training sessions.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to attend Camp HOPE for one (1) week in the summer.
Ability to provide crisis intervention and domestic violence awareness and education to victims.
Ability to understand cross-cultural relationships and provide support services to diverse populations.

Knowledge and Certifications

Knowledge of trauma, especially domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and their impacts.
Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and assessments.
Certifications or training credentials in topics related to childhood health, well-being, healthy relationships, trauma, hope, and positive childhood experiences preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
