Full Job Description

Buffalo Medical Group is seeking a Service Desk Representative who provides front-line IT support by responding to calls and emails, documenting requests, resolving common technical issues, and routing more complex needs to the appropriate team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position:

Answer IT service desk calls and emails. Create documentation by entering the requested service into the BMG service desk system.
Attempt to resolve the service request initially, if possible.
If you cannot resolve the request, assess the nature of the request and route the request to the appropriate work queue.
Work with Service Desk Supervisor to perform necessary follow up activities as may be required from time to time.
Develop proficiency with BMG’s service desk management system.
Be proficient with BMG’s Office Automation products (Microsoft Office).
Develop base knowledge and understanding of BMG’s infrastructure components.
Develop base knowledge and understanding of BMG’s EPIC environment.
Adhere to developed and published Service Desk performance measures.
Answers phone promptly and courteously and relay messages to other staff members as necessary.
Attends required training as determined by the Service Desk Supervisor.
Supports established BMG metrics and goals, supports and exhibits behaviors in line BMG mission and values.
Supports achievement of established BMG metrics and goals.
Supports and exhibits behaviors in line with BMG mission and values.
Will participate in worksite safety training programs.
Will comply with all Group policies and procedures including mandatory annual in-services.
Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations.
Performs all other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree and minimum two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: While the primary office for this position is located at 295 Essjay Road in Williamsville, occasional travel to other BMG locations is required, as needed. A valid driver’s license and transportation to various offices/locations is required. The standard schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm however hours may vary based on department needs.

**This is a 100% in person position with no relocation assistance provided**
