Capital Industrial is a local, family-owned Manufacturer, Service, and Industrial Supply company. We service equipment and supply requirements for a wide range of local companies and municipalities. We build and support everything from heavy equipment for the construction, logging, contractors, and equipment for personal end users. For over 40 years we have been manufacturing under our Olympic brand name; heavy log loaders, marine cranes, flatbed truck bodies, and our full line of Olympic Trailers.

Capital Industrial is now seeking highly skilled candidates to fill several full-time positions within the various segments of our manufacturing operation. Our manufactured equipment lines range from heavy and light duty trailers, marine cranes, log loaders, as well as a full-service custom metal fabrication shop. These positions both require and reward highly skilled people with experience in both metal fabrication and leadership roles.
Full Time Positions w/ Benefits:

Position Requirements and Skills Matrix:
- 3+ Years’ experience in fabricating and welding.
- Reading blueprints.
- Working from jigs.
- Dual shield, spray arc, and short arc welding.
- Cut with oxy acetylene and plasma torches.
- Using grinders, drills, various hand tools, and equipment
- Must possess an understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic components. Including assembly of cylinders, valve banks, valve cushions, etc.
- Applicants must own their own hand tools.
- Power tools supplied by company.
Safety:
The ideal employee will possess expert knowledge and application of the required principles, concepts, and processes within their own production area and a broad understanding of other areas/teams. They demonstrate the ability to lead project teams or the company safety team with excellent results.
Fabrication Skills:
The ideal employee will have proficiency in the following:
- Design projects to customer expectations without supervision, resulting in a well-executed product.
- Set own standards, successfully fabricate project components within standard labor and quality parameters.
- Must be able to fabricate custom parts and pieces without supervision.
- Train or assist others with jig work and problem solving.
- Apply their expert knowledge to designs that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Incorporate a high degree of creativity in designs.
- Be proficient at mathematical, algebraic, and geometric problem solving. Examples include calculating areas, circumferences, and triangulations.
Welding Skills:
The ideal employee will be able to:
· Weld uniformly, measured bi-linear lines and consistent size and helps develop new standards.
· Proficient in machine setup across most machines and help develop new
standards.
· Produce clean line work surfaces with no visible debris.
· Without supervision can identify all types of metal and how to work with specified substrate.
· How to cut metal and be able to determine what methods to weld with.
· Will be proficient in handling, fabricating, and identifying metals.
· Be proficient at quickly setting up a welding machine and able to adjust welding equipment with different processes, equipment, size of wire, and gases.
Equipment Versatility Including:
· Saw - Drill Press - Rollers - Press Break - TIG Welder - Crane Operations
· Iron Worker - Air Arc – Forklift –Shear - Hand Plasma - Plasma Table - Small Press
Communication Skills:
The ideal employees apply effective listening skills while interacting with team members and customers consistently.
The applicant must demonstrate an excellent and consistent ability to quickly understand and communicate complex information or ideas clearly and accurately. While being able to create a common understanding of a problem without supervision.

The ideal employee is:

Level of Supervision:
Work is largely self-directed with reviews conducted on an exceptional basis only.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
