About Us

We're a well-established, high-volume neighborhood restaurant and sports bar in the MetroWest Boston area. We are a local favorite known for scratch pub fare, weekly events, live entertainment, and a loyal community following. As we go through a kitchen transition, we're looking for a talented, hands-on chef to take the reins, put their stamp on the menu, and lead the kitchen into its next chapter.

We are looking for a leader who sees a busy kitchen as an opportunity to make food faster, better, and more memorable.

The Role

You'll have full ownership of the back of house: the menu, the line, the team, the costs, and the culture. You'll work directly with ownership, with real autonomy to make changes and the support to see them through.

What you'll do:

· Make the menu better. Refresh and refine a crowd-pleasing pub menu (wings, burgers, steak tips, Italian favorites, salads, brunch). Bring new ideas, seasonal specials, and signature items that give guests a reason to come back.

· Cut ticket times. Evaluate kitchen flow, prep systems, station setup, and menu engineering to meaningfully reduce wait times during peak service (game days, weekend dinner, brunch) without sacrificing quality.

· Raise the overall appeal. Improve plating and presentation, consistency from cook to cook, and the quality of high-visibility items. Help make the food a big reason people choose us as much as the games and the atmosphere.

· Lead the team. Hire, train, schedule, and develop line cooks and prep staff. Build a positive, accountable kitchen culture with low turnover.

· Own the numbers. Manage food costs, vendor relationships, ordering, inventory, and waste. Hit cost targets while improving quality.

· Run a clean, safe kitchen. Maintain ServSafe standards, pass health inspections without drama, and keep the BOH organized.

· Support events and catering. Execute private parties, buffets, and catering orders alongside regular service.

What We're Looking For

· 3+ years as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant (pub, gastropub, or casual dining a plus)

· A track record of improving a menu, kitchen operation, or guest experience.

· Strong line skills; you lead from the line, not the downstairs office

· Experience managing food cost, labor costs, and vendors

· Ability to train and retain a team

· ServSafe certification

· Availability for nights, weekends, and game days
