About Personal Health MD

At Personal Health MD, we provide an exceptional, highly personalized healthcare experience for our Concierge Medicine members. As a Concierge Primary Care practice located in Boston's Back Bay, we are dedicated to caring for the whole person and delivering compassionate, relationship-centered care that supports each patient's overall well-being.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced clinical professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with a warm, high-touch approach to patient interactions, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to professionalism and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate a genuine commitment to patient-centered care with empathy, professionalism, and compassion.
Provide attentive, personalized communication to patients in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.
Deliver exceptional customer service while interacting with a diverse patient population.
Coordinate patient scheduling, answer phones, manage appointments, and complete patient check-in/check-out and registration.
Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for provider visits as needed.
Experience with specialty referrals and prior authorizations A MUST
Perform phlebotomy and process laboratory specimens.
Assist providers with clinical procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation while supporting efficient office operations.

Qualifications

Medical Administrative Assistant Certification (Required).
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Administrative Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.
Minimum 3 years of experience processing specialty referrals and prior authorizations.
Experience with patient administrative functions, including scheduling, insurance verification, patient registration, and check-in/check-out.
Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
In-Person only (no remote work)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Positive attitude with a growth mindset and willingness to seek and apply feedback.
Experience with Epic and athenahealth (Athena) electronic medical record systems is preferred.

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours per week)
Monday–Friday
8-hour day shifts
Office Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
No weekends

Compensation

$28.00–$31.00 per hour, based on experience.
