Full Job Description

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist-Computed Tomography
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Location: Jackson, MI
Shift: 6pm - 6:30am EST. Every other weekend required. No Call required. Block scheduling available as long as it includes weekends.
Pay Rate: $76/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

Explains examination procedure to patients and prepares patient for the examination.
Reviews clinical data on requisition and performs appropriate examination. Obtains additional information about the patient medical history as necessary.
Prepares procedure room and regularly replenishes stock such as linen and related supplies.
Analyzes anatomical structure of patient, sets up equipment and performs the CT scan.
Manually controls the equipment to obtain the proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
Administers intravenous contrast media to including utilization of power injectors. Monitors patient for possible reactions as appropriate to the study and provides immediate care to patient if a reaction should occur.
May prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for the procedure to be performed. Ensures the adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the client.

Job Requirements:

Associate's degree in applied science in Radiology
BLS certification from AHA
ARRT (CT) certification
Minimum 1 year of experience working in this position in a hospital setting.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and independently
Strong people skills and communication.
Must have peripheral IV insertion experience or be willing to obtain training.
Will be responsible for transporting patients to and from ED.
