Job Title: Finance & Insurance Manager

Reports to: General Sales Manager

Classification: Full Time; Onsite

Comp: $100,000 – $180,000 per year; This is a performance-based position that offers a base/draw/hourly offset with opportunities for commission and bonus incentives.

A successful OEM dealership in the Greater Detroit market is seeking an experienced Finance & Insurance Manager to help drive profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

This position is ideal for a performance-driven automotive professional who understands how to balance strong F&I results with a transparent and customer-focused buying experience. You'll work alongside dealership leadership to support growth while helping customers confidently navigate financing and protection options.

Position Overview

The Finance & Insurance Manager serves as a key member of the dealership leadership team, responsible for securing lender approvals, presenting protection products, ensuring deal integrity, and maintaining compliance throughout the sales process.

Core Responsibilities

Arrange vehicle financing and lease approvals through a network of lending partners
Present protection and ownership-enhancement products in a professional and customer-focused manner
Structure transactions that support profitability while meeting lender guidelines
Complete and review all finance documentation for accuracy and compliance
Partner closely with dealership management and sales personnel throughout the delivery process
Maintain strong working relationships with financial institutions and lending partners
Monitor product penetration, finance income, reserve performance, and funding efficiency
Ensure all transactions comply with applicable federal, state, lender, and dealership requirements
Maintain accurate deal records and funding documentation
Resolve outstanding CIT issues in a timely manner
Deliver an exceptional ownership experience that promotes repeat and referral business

Desired Experience

Minimum three years of Finance & Insurance experience in an OEM franchise dealership environment
Demonstrated record of strong F&I production and product sales performance
Solid understanding of automotive lending, leasing, compliance, and protection products
Experience working with major automotive finance platforms and dealership management systems
Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Valid driver's license and driving record
