In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Your expertise in medical administrative support, EMR systems, and patient service will help us deliver exceptional care and streamline daily operations. Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems / Jane
Verify patient insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge related to Medicare and other providers, and process payments or co-pays accordingly
Maintain and update medical records with meticulous attention to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance
Assist with documentation review, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing procedures to ensure accurate medical billing and collections
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle patient inquiries promptly

Experience

Prior clinic experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office environment is highly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health information management, and health insurance processes including Medicare billing
Experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and medical billing procedures to facilitate accurate documentation review and claims processing
Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and maintain positive patient interactions
