Careage Hills is looking for leaders interested in joining our Administrator in Training program. This is a unique and intensive on-the-job training program designed for individuals seeking initial licensure as a Skilled Nursing Home Administrator and a career as a health care executive. Schedule: The AIT Program is a full-time, multi-month program
Compensation: The position comes with a base salary while in training. Once licensed and acting as a full-time Licensed Nursing Home Administrator include attractive compensation package including a competitive base salary and incentive structure will replace the AIT base salary.
Overview:
As AIT, you will receive practical on-the-job training in a nursing home or assisted living environment under the direct supervision of an experienced Administrator preceptor/mentor. The training program includes rotation through the various departments and duties in a skilled nursing facility; education on the interrelationships of the facility with outside parties and government agencies (such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services); and a study of regulations and requirements associated with the operation of a skilled nursing facility. Other topics of education for those in the AIT position include business/fiscal accounting management and principles of risk management and health care compliance.

- AIT candidates must meet the minimum regulatory requirements for licensure in their state of intended residence
- Professional and tactful demeanor allowing him/her to effectively deal with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, physicians, government agencies/personnel, and the general public even under stressful or emotional circumstances
- An inspirational leader and mentor who brings out the best in his/her managers and staff
- Possesses a keen sense of business management guided by a strong set of values and ethics
- Ability to lead large, diverse teams
- Ability to handle difficult conversations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
