Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – One-to-One School Nursing

Company: ND Global Consulting Services, Inc.
Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week
Expected Start Date: August 3, 2026
Assignment Duration: 2026–2027 school year
Openings: Multiple positions available

Service Locations

Selected LPNs may be assigned to one of the following school locations:

Sequoyah High School 4485 Hickory RoadCanton, GA 30115
Teasley Middle School 151 Hickory Log DriveCanton, GA 30114
Little River Elementary School 3170 Trickum RoadWoodstock, GA 30188

Final placement will be based on the student’s medical needs, the candidate’s experience, and interview results.

Job Summary

ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide one-to-one nursing care to medically complex students in a school environment. The selected LPN will support an assigned student throughout the school day and provide nursing care according to physician orders and the student’s individualized care plan. Responsibilities may include seizure care, G-tube feeding, oxygen monitoring, medication administration, mobility assistance, and emergency response.

Some assignments may require the nurse to accompany the student during morning and afternoon school-bus transportation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide continuous one-to-one nursing care to an assigned student.
Monitor the student’s health and medical condition throughout the school day.
Follow physician orders, nursing care plans, and student-specific medical protocols.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Provide seizure monitoring, intervention, and emergency care.
Perform G-tube feeding and related care.
Administer and monitor oxygen when required.
Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in the student’s condition.
Assist with positioning, wheelchair mobility, toileting, diapering, and other health-related personal care.
Support students with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, asthma, blindness, mobility limitations, and developmental or neurological conditions.
Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies.
Communicate with parents or guardians, school personnel, and the NDGCS clinical team.
Complete daily nursing notes, treatment records, medication logs, and incident reports.
Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, and school policies.
Participate in student-specific orientation, competency verification, and required training.
Accompany the assigned student on the school bus when required.

Required Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Ability to successfully complete fingerprinting, criminal background checks, drug screening, and school-district clearance requirements.
Ability to safely care for medically fragile or high-acuity students.
Strong observation, documentation, and emergency-response skills.
Ability to follow physician orders and established nursing care plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
Ability to work independently in a school environment.
Ability to commit to the full school-year assignment.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:

Pediatric nursing.
School nursing.
Private-duty nursing.
One-to-one student nursing.
Pediatric home health.
Seizure and epilepsy management.
G-tube feeding and care.
Oxygen administration and respiratory monitoring.
Care of nonverbal students.
Wheelchair and mobility support.
Cerebral palsy.
Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
Congenital CMV.
Asthma management.

Schedule and Compensation

Monday through Friday during regular school hours.
Approximately five days and 40 hours per week.
Daily start and end times may vary according to the student’s school and transportation schedule.
Some assignments may include morning and afternoon school-bus transportation.
Final student assignment and clinical requirements will be discussed during the interview.
Selected candidates must complete all onboarding and clearance requirements before starting.
