Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Corporate Controller to lead our financial operations end to end, from day-to-day accounting through reporting, internal controls, and forecasting. This is a key leadership role with direct influence on company strategy and a clear path for professional growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, anticipates challenges, and resolves problems independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) end to end
Own bank reconciliation management and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Lead inventory accounting — track, record, and reconcile stock levels; analyze demand and forecast needs to optimize inventory and minimize excess (a strong inventory background is essential)
Partner with procurement to place and track orders for timely replenishment
Prepare financial statements and management reports
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes
Analyze budget variances and give leadership clear insight into what's driving them
Build and maintain internal controls that safeguard company assets
Monitor expenses, identify cost savings, and ensure budget compliance
Drive process improvements across finance and inventory operations
Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual audits
Advise the executive team and keep the company current on accounting regulations

Requirements:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred)
5+ years in corporate accounting, including experience as a Controller or in a similar role
Strong command of GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping fundamentals
Strong inventory accounting background
Advanced Excel skills — comfortable building and maintaining complex spreadsheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and formula-driven reconciliations and reporting (e.g., building a monthly inventory reconciliation, a budget-vs-actual variance report, or a cash-flow forecast in Excel)
Sharp analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A self-starter who works well under pressure and meets deadlines
