Full Job Description

Keeton & Co Real Estate is looking for an experienced and dependable Bookkeeper to join our team. This person will be responsible for managing our day-to-day accounting functions and keeping our financial records organized and accurate. If you enjoy working with numbers, have a strong attention to detail, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a part-time, in-office position based in Glen Allen, VA. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. There is an opportunity for this position to become full-time.

What You'll Do

Maintain the company's financial records using QuickBooks.
Process payroll accurately and on time.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
Ensure financial records are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
Support tax preparation and work with outside accountants as needed.
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.

What We're Looking For

Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is required.
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
Experience with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience working with a small business or real estate organization.
Experience assisting with budgeting or financial reporting.
