Our Otolaryngology (ENT) Division is seeking an experienced Clinical Operations Manager to provide leadership across our growing physician practices.

Position Summary

The Clinical Operations Manager provides operational and clinical leadership for assigned physician practices. This position partners closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, practice managers, executive leadership, and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient clinic operations, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and continuous quality improvement.

The Clinical Operations Manager serves as the operational leader for clinical services, driving standardized clinical workflows, evidence-based practices, patient safety initiatives, and an exceptional patient experience across multiple clinic locations.

What You'll Do

Lead and develop Medical Assistants, LPNs, RNs, and other clinical support staff.
Standardize clinical workflows, rooming procedures, and best practices across all locations.
Partner with physicians and providers to improve patient flow, clinic efficiency, and overall operational performance.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CMS, CLIA, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
Oversee medication management, infection prevention, sterilization processes, and clinical documentation standards.
Monitor quality metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective action plans.
Lead onboarding, competency validation, continuing education, and professional development for clinical staff.
Participate in recruitment, staffing, scheduling, performance management, and succession planning.
Investigate patient safety events and collaborate on solutions that improve quality outcomes.
Support implementation of new clinical technologies, equipment, and service lines.
Serve as a resource for patient concerns requiring leadership involvement.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and outstanding patient service.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related healthcare field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations.
At least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
Clinical experience in an ambulatory physician practice.
Experience supervising Medical Assistants, LPNs, RNs, and other clinical support staff.
Strong understanding of physician practice operations and clinical workflows.
Knowledge of CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, and applicable accreditation standards.
Experience with quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience partnering directly with physicians and advanced practice providers to improve clinical performance.
Experience with workflow optimization, staffing models, and multidisciplinary team leadership.
