FlexTrades is seeking a highly skilled AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Operator to support SMT manufacturing. This role is responsible for final board inspection, quality checks, and production support on Class 2 and Class 3 electronic assemblies.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to review AOI results, identify defects, and perform rework as needed to ensure products meet strict quality standards, including work in medical, military, and ITAR-regulated environments.

Qualifications
- IPC certification preferred: IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 (active or inactive)
- Strong knowledge of IPC standards and PCB quality requirements
- Class 2 PCB experience required; Class 3 preferred
- AOI and SMT inspection experience
- Hand soldering and rework skills
- Ability to identify defects and make quick, accurate decisions
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
Responsibilities
- Perform AOI inspections on SMT boards using automated equipment
- Review defects and determine pass, fail, or rework
- Conduct manual visual inspections to ensure quality
- Identify SMT defects
- Perform hand soldering and rework (lead and lead-free)
- Support SMT operations and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Work with small, fine-pitch components and help improve processes
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $36/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
