LCCC supports adjunct faculty by providing an environment conducive to excellent teaching and learning, classroom equipment and supplies, and resources to meet the challenges that arise in the course of teaching.
Prudent utilization of LCCC’s resources is a prime responsibility of LCCC’s administration. Therefore, the college reserves the right to change course assignments if needed. Full-time faculty members with less than a full load may be assigned to teach a course that was originally assigned to an adjunct instructor. All changes in teaching assignments will be made prior to the first class meeting. The position of Adjunct Instructor is part-time, non-benefitted, and employed on a course-by-course basis and/or hourly basis without any obligation or promise of continued future employment and is provided competitive compensation.
LCCC provides several resources to its adjunct faculty. Support systems are in place to assist all faculty in supporting student success through excellent instruction. These supports are outlined in detail in the LCCC Faculty Handbook, which serves as a vital and current reference to policies and procedures that impact expectations of all faculty of the College. All LCCC faculty are supported by the Faculty Academy within the Center for Excellence in Teaching.
Adjunct faculty must notify the dean of the school in which they teach if they are employed in another position at LCCC.
Compensation: $23.76/hr.

Instructors will be expected to complete the following outcomes in the designated discipline of Emergency Medical Technician.

Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
Skills - Teaching others how to do something.
Abilities - Capable of representing the organization in a professional manner, adapting to various situations with maturity, and maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school Diploma, or GED

Holds an unrestricted license from the state of Wyoming to practice as a Health Professional appropriate for subject to be taught or the ability to acquire a license prior to start date.

Two years of experience working in a medical field.
Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in Emergency Services or related field

National Association of EMS Educators Level 1 Instructor

Instructor BCLS or American Heart Association
-
EMS Certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians

AHA/BCLS Instructor or willingness to obtain

Preferred EMS experience in a high-paced environment. Program director may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
