Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in providing high-quality speech therapy services to children with diverse communication needs. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster meaningful progress in language development, support children with disabilities, and enhance their overall communication skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, engage in early intervention, and make a positive impact on young lives.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child's specific needs, including language disorders and speech sound support
Support children with disabilities through targeted interventions that promote early language development and improve speech clarity
Collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists and families to ensure cohesive therapy approaches
Conduct therapy sessions via telehealth platforms or in-person settings, adapting techniques for different environments
Monitor and document client progress accurately, maintaining detailed records and treatment goals
Support children during activities that enhance their communication skills within home or clinical settings
Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to assist in therapy activities and understand client needs

Requirements

Prior experience working with children, students with disabilities, or in pediatric settings is highly preferred
Knowledge of speech disorders support strategies and language development milestones
Familiarity with speech-language pathology procedures including plan implementation and client communication
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology
Passion for supporting children’s communication growth and working with individuals with disabilities
