Elysium Contracting inc. is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced, highly organized Construction Project Manager to join our team in the Greater Chicago Area. This on-site role offers hands-on project leadership, direct client engagement, and the opportunity to help shape how we deliver high-performance commercial interiors.

Position: Construction Project Manager

Location: Greater Chicago Area (On-Site)
Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

The Construction Project Manager will oversee day-to-day project execution, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met. This role requires strong coordination skills, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Coordinate daily activities between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
Ensure compliance with construction standards, building codes, and safety regulations
Prepare and review project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Facilitate progress meetings and maintain clear communication across all project partners
Must be proficient with Procore

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial construction project management
Strong project coordination and construction management skills
Solid understanding of construction methods, processes, and regulations
Proficiency in budgeting and financial oversight
Ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects is a plus
