Full Job Description

Coffey Bros. Moving, a local favorite and 5 Star Rated Moving Service is looking for a dedicated Fleet & Dispatch Manager to continue our good work in the community by actively managing the quality service provided by our stellar five star moving teams, and by maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability for our fleet of 40+ Box Trucks (<26,000lbs) to maximize operational readiness.

As a Fleet and Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for many areas of the dispatch operations including; hiring, dispatching, directing, coordinating/scheduling moving jobs/personnel, customer service claims/complaints/negotiations, job closeouts, supply & equipment inventory and other resources assigned to move projects. The ideal candidate must have completed some college and have had 3 years of previous management experience in logistics type work with a proven ability in leadership and upholding quality customer service.

Fleet and Dispatch Managers are responsible for Managing Moves (service teams, fleet, equipment, customers). Maximizing Revenue, Quality Control, Loss Prevention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Daily Closing Truck Inventory of materials and equipment
Daily Fleet Logs/Reporting
Daily/Nightly Driver and Truck Checks ins / outs
Schedule repairs and routine maintenance for trucks
Producing and Maintaining fleet damage, repair and maintenance logs
Demonstrate a commitment to safety and ensure that all trucks are compliant with ILCC, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
Provide quality assurance - ensure on-time performance to jobs, minimize crew wait times, and maintain productivity.
Manage daily scheduled projects including assigning personnel
Management of Equipment; fleet and moving equipment/supplies
Record Keeping of projects including attendance and employee performance.
Order/Reorder Supplies and restock trucks
Hiring; interview, screen and train new hires
Manage GPS fleet tracker to ensure jobs are running on schedule, screen trips for driver misconduct and keep customers informed with any delays.
Work well with others and assist movers on jobs at times of short staffing. (must be able to lift 75lbs or more)
Provide ongoing leadership and coaching regarding document training, service quality, reliability, productivity, and accountability.
Handle disciplinary concerns and take corrective action.
Weekly Schedule Monday - Saturday 6:30am - 5pm or last truck in (flex off day offered during the week)
Must be available to work up to 7 consecutive days straight during rush week.
Able to lift and carry 75lbs or more up and down stairs and for long distances up to 8 hours (only when needed and at times of labor shortage).

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be Physically Fit and able to jump on/off trucks and carry large items

- Previous experience with fleet management in the transportation industry.

- Must have at least 3+ years of verifiable Dispatch Supervisor experience.

- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean MVR last 3 years.

- Must have experience driving straight box trucks up to 26'ft Box <26,000lbs - Non CLD

- Must have the flexibility to be available on weekends and day/evening hours.

- Excellent communication skills; aims for transparency between the sales team, customers, and crew members to keep all parties informed and on the same page.

- Leadership skills including coaching, facilitation, and team building.

- Good computer-operating skills.

- Ability to multitask, maintain composure, and find resolutions during high-pressure situations.

- Bachelor Degree Preferred

- High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 4+ years of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Familiar with Verizon Fleetmatics, or other equivalent fleet tracking programs.

- Familiar with Microsoft Office or Google Suite applications.

Compensation Package: base pay with bonus structure for the right candidate to easily make up to $125,000 in the first year.

Compensation disclaimer: CBM has the right to adjust the base pay listed above to match the skill level and qualification of the candidate.
