Job Description

As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for the incorporation of markups for substation design projects for electric utilities utilizing drafting software. Every individual is responsible for producing a high quality work product while fostering a high level of client satisfaction. Responsibilities include drafting markups in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, utilizing raster design software and backchecking work for completeness and accuracy. Candidate should be proficient in MS Office suite, AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Various levels of experience desired with positions open from entry level through experienced.

Entry Level (Job Req #2023CD0401) Qualifications

0+ years experience
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of basic drafting principles
Ability to read engineer and designer markups and translate to CAD file per client standards

Experienced Level (Job Req #2023CD4002) Qualifications

4+ years experience
Knowledge of advanced drafting principles
Ability to mentor experienced drafters
Experience with drafting related to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams required
Experience with drafting electrical substation layouts preferred
Experience with visual basic or comparable programming preferred
Experience with scaled drawings required
Candidate may have direct contact with clients, strong communication skills required
