Job Title: Patient Registrar

Industry: Healthcare / Outpatient Services

Location (city, state): Lombard, IL; Addison, IL (potential opening in Oak Park, IL)

Assignment Type: Contract (project-based through approximately end of October)

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, plus every other Saturday from 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description:

The Patient Registrar plays a key role in managing front desk operations and ensuring a smooth check-in process for patients. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle a steady flow of individuals while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome patients upon arrival and guide them through intake procedures
Manage patient flow and direct individuals to appropriate service areas
Gather and verify personal and insurance information
Assist with required documentation, including forms related to screenings
Enter and maintain accurate data in electronic health record systems
Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient and timely patient processing

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical front desk or patient registration preferred
Strong background in customer service, ideally in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (EPIC experience is a plus)
Ability to multitask and remain organized under high patient volume
Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Additional Details:

Multiple openings across locations; candidates may express site preference
One-step, onsite interview process
Business casual attire required
Must have reliable transportation
Pre-employment screening required, including background and drug testing
Training provided; ideal candidates can quickly adapt and begin contributing
