Job Description: Part-Time Testing Psychologist – ADHD (Autism and OCD Testing a Plus)

Position: Testing Psychologist.

Hours: Approximately 10+ hours/week (2 completed evaluations), with opportunities to grow based on your interests and our needs.

Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid: in-office time is flexible and caseload-driven — as little as one early-morning, evening, or weekend hour weekly, or batched into a single day monthly).

About Us

McClymonds Psychological Services, LLC is a Chicago-based group neuropsychological and psychological testing practice. We specialize in evaluations for ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and OCD. Our practice is growing rapidly, supported by a strong referral network, a dedicated testing team, and AI-assisted report drafting tools.

We operate on a pod model: psychologists focus on clinical work while our support staff handles scheduling intakes, test administration, scoring, and report drafting. This means you spend your time doing the highest-value clinical work, not logistics.

We're hiring for up to two positions on this posting. Your core caseload will center on adult ADHD evaluations. We have a genuine, ongoing need for pediatric ADHD evaluations (age 8+) as well; if you have that experience, it's a strong differentiator for your application. If pediatric work isn't your background, that's not a barrier to applying; adult ADHD experience alone is a great fit for this role.

What Makes This Role Unique

Your core caseload is adult ADHD evaluations. Beyond that, there's real opportunity to grow into autism and OCD evaluations as you settle in, and pediatric ADHD experience is a genuine value-add if it's part of your background:

◦ Pediatric ADHD (age 8+): a genuine, ongoing need in our referral stream; a strong value-add if you have this experience

◦ Autism spectrum evaluations, including in-office sensory interviews: training and mentorship provided, no prior experience required

◦ OCD evaluations: training and mentorship provided, no prior experience required

Hybrid model: In-office time as needed, on a flexible schedule (could be one morning, evening, or weekend visit per week for a sensory interview — or batched into a single day monthly, depending on caseload):

◦ Conduct sensory interviews and pediatric assessment components at our Chicago Loop office

◦ Remote intakes, follow-ups, and feedback via telehealth otherwise

Full psychometrist and administrative support so you focus on clinical work
AI-assisted report drafting with a comprehensive recommendations library
Strong, consistent referral stream managed entirely by our team
Collaborative, neuroaffirming team environment

Responsibilities

(The specific evaluation types below will depend on your caseload — not every hire will conduct all of these.)

Conduct intake interviews (virtual or in-office as warranted, approximately 50-60 minutes)
For autism evaluations: conduct in-office sensory interviews (approximately 60-90 minutes)
For pediatric evaluations (age 8+): conduct in-office play-based or observational interviews on testing day
Review remote measure results and conduct brief follow-up appointments as needed (~30 minutes)
Interpret neuropsychological and psychological test data and form diagnostic impressions
Collaborate with the testing and report writing team on findings and recommendations
Review, finalize, and sign evaluation reports drafted by the report-writing team
Conduct client feedback sessions (virtual, approximately 45-60 minutes)
Schedule your own follow-up and feedback appointments (intakes and client-initiated scheduling handled by our team)

Time Commitment

Approx. 4 hours per ADHD case (which is the majority of our referrals)
Flexible part-time schedule (you choose your caseload volume)

Compensation

$500 per completed ADHD evaluation; extra paid for OCD Intakes and Sensory Interviews as part of Autism Testing.
Equivalent to ~$125/hr for psychologist time

Qualifications

Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) in clinical psychology
Active, unrestricted license as a Psychologist in the state of Illinois

Note: PSYPACT eligibility does not satisfy our Illinois licensure requirement. Our practice bills major insurance carriers, which requires Illinois licensure. Out-of-state applicants without an active Illinois license will not be considered.

Experience conducting adult ADHD evaluations
Comfortable with a neuroaffirming, strengths-based clinical framework
Willingness to come into our Chicago Loop office as needed for in-person components (early morning, evening, and weekend times available — flexible around other commitments)

Strongly Preferred

Experience evaluating children and adolescents (age 8+), including play-based or behavioral observation approaches
Experience conducting autism evaluations in adults and/or children/adolescents
Experience conducting sensory interviews
Experience with OCD evaluations
Familiarity with high-IQ, high-masking presentations of ADHD and ASD
