We are seeking a talented Civil Design Project Manager for immediate employment to provide engineering services on complex roadway design projects.

In this role, you will:

Lead and manage Phase I and Phase II transportation projects from planning and design through final delivery and project closeout.
Make sound technical and engineering decisions in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.
Prepare, review, and oversee the development of construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and supporting engineering documentation.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal project teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Collaborate closely with department leadership, senior professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and business objectives.
Serve as a technical resource, advisor, and mentor to project engineers, designers, and other technical staff.
Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provide leadership in quality management and oversee quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and project deliverables.
Support business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and project pursuits.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

We are looking for someone who has:

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Illinois
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on roadway design
Demonstrated experience managing projects for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and/or other State Departments of Transportation (DOTs)Proven project management and leadership experience, including oversight of project teams, schedules, budgets, and client relationships
Extensive knowledge and experience in transportation engineering principles, practices, and design standards
Proficiency in MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, agency representatives, and project teams
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
Ability to work 5 days a week in office

Salary range is $200,000 – $225,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
