What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

Designing and developing SQL-based data pipelines that ingest, transform and validate clinical data from multiple sources
Building and maintaining data infrastructure to ensure data quality and consistency across systems
Collaborating with clinical analysts, researchers and operations teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable outputs
Implementing data validation frameworks and monitoring processes to maintain pipeline integrity
Optimizing database queries and data workflows for performance and efficiency
Documenting data architecture, pipeline logic and data lineage for organizational knowledge
Supporting the integration of new data sources and the expansion of existing pipeline capabilities

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

Must-have

5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, data pipeline development or clinical data roles
Strong SQL proficiency and demonstrated ability to write efficient, well-documented queries
Experience designing and building data pipelines in healthcare or similarly regulated environments
Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements and data security practices
Working knowledge of data quality frameworks and validation methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Data Science or related field
Authorization to work in the United States

Nice-to-have

HIPAA Compliance Certification or Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRP) certification
Experience with analytics tools and data visualization platforms
Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts and their application to clinical data
Background in healthcare systems, clinical research or life sciences
Experience with cloud-based data platforms or modern data stack tools
