Position Summary:

This Warehouse Driver position executes, achieves, and maintains the core functions of OVG's Chicago distribution and warehouse as a driver and achieves and maintains quality and efficiency standards in the warehouse, receiving, and distribution.

This role pays an hourly range from $28.69 - $30.69 (per CBA).

Benefits as per the union agreement.

This position will be posted until September 18, 2026

About the Venue:

McCormick Place Convention Center, the largest and most versatile convention facility on the continent. Located along Chicago’s stunning lakefront and minutes from downtown, our facility offers over 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. McCormick Place, consisting of four state of the art buildings, is perfect for conferences, trade shows, corporate events, and exhibitions of any size. With top-tier amenities, cutting-edge infrastructure, and views of Chicago’s skyline, McCormick Place delivers a world-class event experience.

Responsibilities:

Deliver orders to restaurants and banquet pantries
Pick up and deliver equipment for stewarding department
Pick up and deliver linen for banquet department
Ensure deliveries ordered are delivered on time and accurately
Uses proper and safe methods when operating all warehouse equipment, i.e., pallet jacks
Accurately fill requisitions in a timely manner
Notify manager of “out of stocks”
Follow directions from Managers/Warehouse Lead
Assist warehouse in storing and rotating product
Assist with sanitation and safety of warehouse
Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times
Notify manager of truck problems. Report any damage to the truck or product.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma/GED
Must have sufficient math ability to accurately add, subtract, divide, multiply, and perform other basic business math calculations.
Understand written and oral direction and communicate effectively with others.
Two (2) years of warehouse experience with previous electric pallet jack experience.
At least two (2) years’ experience driving commercially a 24-foot box truck
Must possess good organizational skills
Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
Ability to work closely with others
Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and employees.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; sense of urgency
Must have a pleasant personality and adhere to Uniform Standards policy
Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends
Must have an ability to effectively drive in all types of weather conditions, i.e. sleet, snow, etc.
Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
This position does require basic computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).
Must hold a Valid Illinois Driver’s License
Pallet Jack Certification
