We are a local family owned machine shop located in Crestwood, IL. We are currently looking for CNC Operator at our facility. We have opening for the following postion:
1st shift 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
1 opening for setting up and programming CNC Vertical & Horizontal Lathes with Fanuc & Fagor Controls utilizing G-code, Fusion 360 or Conversational (Manual Guide I/Fagor )
We need a machininst that can setup, program, load programs and grab work piece and tool offsets. Must be capable of lifting 50+ pounds. Willing to train on control if have experience on different controls. All applicants are required to be able to read blueprints, fill out inspection reports and time sheets, use micrometers, calipers depth, micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, and any other inspection equipment to insure product quality..

Position Name: CNC Lathe Machinist (Setup & program)
Responsibilities:
Set-up and operate CNC Lathe (Toolmex TUR1100MN, Honor Seiki VL-125CM, Honor Seiki VL-100CRM)
Capable of holding tolerances ( +/- .001" ) associated with the machining of precision parts
Responsible for setting up multiple machines/machining centers
Assist in the development of programming and maintenance procedures and manufacturing practices.
Ability to update CNC programs using G & M codes based on data from quality and other sources
Interface directly with departments to deliver an estimate of completion and tooling requirements of individual machined projects.
Proficient in reading and interpreting 3D & 2D engineering models.
Experience machining large parts a plus.
Assist with machine shop set-up and maintenance.
Assist with other metals parts and fixture fabrication work, as needed -- including cutting, jigging, etc.
Support inspection of parts to ensure accuracy, including multiple alloys.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a CNC Lathe is a must to be successful in this role.
Ability to review part prints and assure machining accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T notes and specific criteria.
Works with CNC programmers and other team members to optimize and standardize CNC programs.
Fanuc 20i TB Manual Guide i , Fagor 8055, CNC Programming is a plus.
Experience using Fusion 360 or Gibbscam is a plus.
Ability to trouble shoot CNC programs for issues and errors.
Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing, ISO 9001:2015 and its application to the machine shop environment.
Strong experience with using standard inspection tools and methods in the evaluation of machined parts.
Creative problem solver, able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in both R&D and production rate environments.
Familiarity with CNC programs such as Fusion360, GibbsCam, Fanuc controls.
