Full Job Description

Small Chicago progressive, fast paced property tax appeal company seeking a Residential Tax Analyst for immediate hire. This position is based at our office in River North Chicago. This position is full time.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail oriented and enjoys working in a computer systems oriented environment. Our business helps homeowners reduce their high property taxes so they can afford their housing costs regardless of whether they own a $150,000 or a $1 million home. We submit tax appeal documents to various tax appeal boards, and communicate with homeowners about their potential tax savings, including tax exemptions and refund opportunities.

As a Residential Tax Advocate, you will be helping homeowners manage their housing costs, apply for their tax exemptions or refunds, and engage in other public policy reform projects.

REGULAR DUTIES INCLUDE:

· Training on the job for 30 day grace period with your peers

· Reviewing homeowners' evidence and using software programs to determine if they have a strong tax case

· Scanning evidence to various tax agencies under strict deadlines

· Contacting county offices – Treasurer, Assessor, Board of Review, State Property Tax Appeal Board

· Managing specific assigned assessment townships with your team

· Keeping accurate notes in client tracking system

CORE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Fast learner, progressive thinker, enjoys dynamic diverse co-workers

· Strong written and or verbal communications, or creative Adobe and Excel skills

· Ability to handle government staff and homeowner relationships

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

· Researchers, Open Minded

· Real Estate license

Our team is results oriented and the pace of work can be fast when townships open. Our office environment is friendly and collaborative. Our team range in age from 24-72, is highly creative, and individuals speak Spanish, Mandarin, Romanian, Lithuanian, and French.
