Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Information Security Analyst is a technical security resource responsible for identifying, assessing, and driving remediation of cybersecurity risk across a complex, multi-business enterprise environment. The role combines hands-on security analysis with AI governance, application and cloud security, vendor risk management, enterprise risk tracking, and policy compliance oversight, partnering with infrastructure, application, and business teams to keep risk properly identified, prioritized, and addressed.

Key Responsibilities

Risk, Governance, and Compliance

Identify, evaluate, and track security risk across systems, processes, and environments, maintaining owners, remediation plans, and status while reporting on trends and overdue activity. Assess controls against established requirements to close gaps, manage employee acknowledgement of Information Security policy, and coordinate formal risk-exception requests through sign-off from the Business IT management representative, Business Owner, and Sarah Hoxie. Review AI tools, use cases, and AI-assisted development for data protection and security risk, and coordinate Information Security's role in broader AI governance.

Application, Cloud, and Technology Security

Review new systems and significant technology changes before implementation. Partner with application teams to build security into the development lifecycle: set application security standards, review significant changes, test for vulnerabilities, and document and remediate findings (or prepare risk exceptions where remediation isn't feasible). Ongoing oversight includes:

Cloud environment security, including configuration issues and coordinated remediation with the appropriate technical teams.
API usage across the environment, with identification of related security risks and gaps.

Vendor and Third-Party Risk

Evaluate vendor security questionnaires, hosted services, and architectures to identify risk, monitor third-party security ratings (e.g., SecurityScorecard) and follow up on findings, and track and report third-party risk and remediation status.

Security Operations, Audit, and Advisory

Investigate security findings, alerts, and suspicious activity across endpoint, infrastructure, application, and network environments, validating detections and determining remediation actions. Support internal and external audits, including SOC and customer security reviews, through evidence gathering and control validation. Prepare clear operational and executive-facing reporting on vulnerability posture, remediation progress, and penetration testing outcomes, and serve as a technical resource for investigations, escalations, and process improvement across business units without direct reporting authority. Support client-facing security gap assessments and consulting engagements, building trusted advisory relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred; equivalent technical experience considered.
2-5 years of progressive experience in information security, infrastructure security, or systems engineering, with hands-on security operations, vulnerability management, and technical risk assessment; complex enterprise experience strongly preferred.
Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification highly preferred.
Working knowledge of vulnerability management, penetration testing concepts, EDR, SIEM, Windows/Linux administration, networking and firewalls, identity and access management, cloud security, and patch management.
Strong analytical and communication skills across technical teams, business stakeholders, and auditors; self-directed, accountable, and able to independently assess risk and prioritize competing demands.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
