CT / MRI Lead Technologist

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a CT/MRI Lead Technologist, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services. This energetic leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee advanced radiologic procedures, mentor technologists, and ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. As a key member of our radiology department, you will utilize your expertise in CT (Computed Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) to facilitate accurate diagnoses and support innovative interventional radiology procedures. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will help drive excellence in medical imaging operations across our facility.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate daily operations of the CT and MRI departments, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality imaging results
- Supervise and mentor radiologic technologists, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development
- Perform complex CT and MRI scans, including specialized procedures such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, and interventional radiology interventions
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques, radiation safety protocols, and patient positioning standards to optimize image quality and patient safety
- Manage electronic health records (EHR), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and EMR systems to document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records
- Oversee equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of radiologic imaging equipment including X-ray machines, fluoroscopy units, PET scanners, and nuclear medicine devices
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly, ensuring comfort, and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, medical terminology standards, and regulatory requirements related to diagnostic radiology practices
Experience
- Proven experience working with radiologic imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, X-ray, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, sonography, mammography, DEXA scans, and PET scans in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising radiologic technologists or healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), Picture archiving systems (PACS), Epic EMR systems or similar platforms for managing patient data efficiently
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with additional specialization in CT or MRI preferred
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications such as ARRT in specific modalities are advantageous
- Experience with interventional radiology procedures is highly desirable to support complex imaging interventions
