Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Meat Cutter & Wrapper, where you'll play a vital role in preparing, processing, and packaging high-quality meats for our valued customers. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety. You will be responsible for expertly cutting, trimming, and wrapping a variety of meat products while ensuring all food handling and sanitation standards are met. Your enthusiasm and precision will help deliver fresh, delicious products that keep our customers coming back for more!

Responsibilities

Use meat processing machines and knives to cut, trim, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, fish, and other perishable goods according to established safety and quality standards
Perform visual inspections of meat products to ensure freshness and quality control
Package meats securely using appropriate wrapping techniques to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards in all work areas
Manage meat slicing techniques for consistent portioning and presentation
Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about cuts and preparation methods, and provide excellent customer service in a retail environment
Maintain accurate inventory levels of perishable goods and ensure proper storage of all food items according to food safety guidelines

Qualifications

Prior experience in food production or retail store environments is highly preferred
Strong knife skills with the ability to perform precise cutting, slicing, trimming, and meat preparation techniques
Knowledge of meat processing machine operation and food safety sanitizing procedures
Familiarity with food handling regulations and visual inspection for quality assurance
Basic math skills for measuring portions and managing inventory
Experience with fish handling or culinary experience is a plus but not required
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and attention to detail
