Midwest Care Management Services – Rogers Park, Chicago

Midwest Care Management Services is a small, mission-driven company providing guardianship, estate administration, care management, and fiduciary services for older adults and adults with disabilities throughout Chicagoland.

We are seeking a highly organized, accountable, and compassionate professional to join our Estate Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing multiple priorities, solving problems, communicating professionally, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment where every day is different.

This is not a traditional desk job. One hour you may be coordinating with attorneys or preparing a court accounting, and the next you may be helping secure a client’s property, resolving an insurance issue, or working with a bank to protect assets.

What You’ll Do

As an Estate Manager, you will help manage the financial and administrative affairs of clients for whom Midwest serves as:

Guardian of Estate
Trustee
Agent under Power of Attorney
Executor
Representative Payee

Responsibilities include:

Investigating and organizing client financial information and assets
Managing bill payment, insurance, taxes, and budgeting
Communicating with attorneys, judges, financial institutions, service providers, and family members
Preparing inventories, budgets, reports, and court accountings
Opening, maintaining, and closing financial accounts
Monitoring and protecting client assets, including real estate and personal property
Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and urgent issues
Conducting local errands including banking, property visits, and document delivery
Maintaining organized and accurate records
Collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and on time

Qualifications

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
2+ years of experience in banking, legal support, fiduciary services, office administration, social services, nonprofit administration, insurance, accounting support, or a related field

Requirements:

Reliable personal vehicle
Valid driver’s license and insurance
Ability to travel locally throughout the Chicagoland area
Illinois residency and eligibility to serve as a Guardian under Illinois law

Based in Rogers Park, Chicago, with local travel throughout the workweek

Candidates who live on Chicago’s North Side or nearby suburbs may be especially well-suited due to the local travel and in-office nature of the role.
