Full Job Description

We are currently hiring a Full Time Apartment Maintenance Technician for the Brand-New Oak Park Senior Housing, slated for completion early October 2026.

Oak Park Senior is part of the low-income housing tax-credit affordable housing program, offering Studios and 1 bedroom, affordable apartments for Seniors aged 62+.

We are Looking for someone who is committed to being part of building and creating a brand-new community and someone who can offer the best possible customer service to our residents in their new homes. Someone who is willing to work as a team.

We are looking for applicants with the following skills:

Apartment Maintenance Repair Experience
Experience Turning Vacant Units
Appliance Repair Experience
Plumbing and Electrical repair experience
Knowledge of Building Systems
Experience working at Senior properties
Ability to track warranty work and ensure it gets completed
Ability to Work as a Team and Meet Deadlines
Ability to Follow Company Policies and Procedures
Ability to Communicate Problems and Offer Solutions
Ability to set priorities and complete assigned tasks
Experience with 3rd party Agency Inspections: Tax Credit, Housing Authority, etc
Ability to complete porter-janitorial duties

Daily Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Completing Work Orders Efficiently
Maintaining the Property Curb Appeal daily
Turning Vacant Units per procedure
Appliance, Electrical and Plumbing Repairs
Drywall & Painting Repairs
Conducting Unit Inspections
Working as a Team with the Rental Manager
Preparing for Inspections
Warranty Work Tracking
Offering Excellent Customer Service
Following all company policies & procedures, fair housing laws, etc.
Ability to respond to After-Hours maintenance emergencies
Picking Up Trash around the property, cleaning out trash enclosures
Cleaning & sanitizing all common areas - sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning laundry rooms, rest rooms, mail center, rental office and community room daily
Other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Compensation Details:

Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
20 days of PTO (includes Sick) accrued in years 1 – 4
13 Paid Holiday’s
