About Us:
Sole Syndicate Brewing is a cutting-edge craft brewery known for innovative beers, a lively atmosphere, and a vibrant culinary experience. Our in-house kitchen, housed within our flagship food trailer, is an integral part of our brand, offering creative and delicious fare that perfectly pairs with our brews. We’re looking for a passionate Assistant Chef to join our team and help drive our culinary vision forward.

Job Summary:
As the Assistant Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to design and execute a dynamic menu that complements our craft beer offerings. You'll be responsible for day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish is prepared to the highest quality standards while maintaining efficiency, safety, and creativity. You will lead a team of kitchen staff, oversee inventory and ordering, and play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary experience at Sole Syndicate Brewing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and creating daily specials that enhance our beer pairings.
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Collaborate with management to optimize workflow and implement process improvements.
Contribute creative ideas to continually evolve our culinary offerings and support new product launches such as distillery collaborations.

Qualifications:

Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Minimum of 3-5 years of culinary experience, preferably with a background in fine dining or a similar fast-paced, creative setting.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to train and supervise a team.
Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP certification is a plus).
Passion for craft beer and a keen interest in creating culinary experiences that complement our brews.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, creative, and sometimes fast-paced environment.
