We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Quality Advancement Coordinator specializing in Training and Development to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts to enhance the quality of our training programs, develop innovative learning solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Your expertise will help foster a culture of learning excellence, ensuring staff are equipped with the skills needed to deliver exceptional services. Responsibilities
The Quality Advancement Coordinator (QAC) is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that empower team members to deliver high-quality services and supports in the lives of those we serve. This is a pivotal role that ensures all training initiatives comply with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), PASSPORT, and/or Veteran’s Administration (VA) requirements while aligning with the Agency’s mission to enhance the quality of life for the people we serve. The QAC collaborates with other Agency leaders including the Human Resources Department, and the Director of Quality Advancement to develop targeted training that supports Agency goals, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes best practices. The QAC ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws as well as with all governing agencies in regard to training and continuous education. The QAC provides leadership, support, and coordination to all Agency personnel in an effort to ensure that compliance is maintained on a regular and consistent basis and in accordance with all the most recent guidelines. The QAC should structure their time in a manner that allows them to be available or on location as needed or required for the purposes of training. At all times, the QAC must comply with licensure and/or provider compliance requirements and have knowledge of all licensure and/or compliance requirements for all Agency providers.
REPORTING
This is a full-time (40 hours) exempt position and will require a flexible schedule to accommodate the learning and development needs of Agency team members. All issues, concerns, and problems will be reported to the next higher authority in the following order: Director of Quality Advancement. This position requires a 30-day notice to vacate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Agency (team members, individuals, and coworkers) in ensuring overall compliance with regard to training in accordance with all state, local, and federal regulations as well as all governing agencies. Support efforts for retention of Agency personnel with respect to training ensuring all personnel will be properly prepared to care for our individuals in a manner consistent with our Agency vision and mission. The QAC will maintain the high standards of the Agency while performing the essential functions of their position and will pass on such standards while training new and veteran team members. Interaction with all individuals and staff will comply with individual rights and staff policies. At all times, the rights of individuals and staff will be respected.
· Carry a company-issued cellular device used for emergencies, staff scheduling changes (and a timely response required for emergency-related calls) as needed or required
· Design and Oversee Training Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that equip team members with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality, person-centered care to the people we support.
· Initial Team Training (ITT): Facilitate Initial Team Training to ensure that all new hires are thoroughly prepared and compliant with DODD and PASSPORT standards, as well as Agency expectations. (Initial)
· Provide the first level of contact with all new team members with regard to training which includes leadership and education ensuring each is within Agency guidelines. Interacting in a professional and supportive manner within and outside the Agency
· Ongoing Staff Education: Create and manage ongoing education initiatives to keep team members informed about new regulations, best practices, and role-specific skills. (Annual)
· Review staff submissions for the Competency-Based Training and Longevity Add-On
· Training Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with DODD, PASSPORT, and VA requirements by regularly reviewing and updating materials to maintain relevance and regulatory compliance. Create annual training plans that are in-line with rules and regulations.
· Documentation and Record keeping: Maintain accurate training records and documentation for all team members by ensuring they meet Agency and regulatory standards for compliance audits.
· Review and Evaluate Training: Assess the effectiveness of training through team member feedback, performance evaluations, and compliance reviews, making necessary improvements to training content and delivery methods. Review and monitor rule changes with the Director of Quality Advancement and present to the team.
· Support Regulatory Audits: Assist in preparing for audits by maintaining organized and up-to-date training records.
· Provide Individualized Support: Offer additional training or support to team members as-needed by addressing any skills gaps or compliance issues identified by their leadership team.
· Directly support team members with the people we support who are experiencing areas where additional support is needed including but not limited to attending team meetings, attending ISP meetings, and developing tools for supporting people.
· Coordinate with Leaders: Work closely with leaders to identify specific training needs related to job roles and responsibilities.
· Accessibility and Accommodations: Ensure all training materials and sessions are accessible, providing reasonable accommodations for team members with varying needs and abilities.
· Special Projects: Collaborate with leaders on initiatives to move the Agency forward in our mission
· Complete internal marketing activities including website editing, business card and document design, and collaborate on Agency activities
· Comply with all duties, policies, procedures, protocols, and other written or verbal directives including all other training/certification compliance requirements
· Complete all forms within reporting requirements such as time sheets, leave forms, accident/incident reports, etc.
· Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
· Education: College degree in Education, Social Services or Human Services, or related field experience of 4-years in a progressive leadership/training role preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 2-years of experience in team instructional design and facilitation of team member training and onboarding, compliance, or a similar role within a social services or healthcare setting. Familiarity with DODD, PASSPORT, and VA standards preferred.
· Current or previous certification through the Department of Developmental Disabilities as a provider of services.
LANGUAGE/ MATH/ REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to read and write at a functional level
· Ability to carry out simple/complex instructions or directives
· Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to individuals, families, and other Frontier Community Services staff.
· Complete financial transactions (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
· Ability to adapt and utilize electronic timekeeping and compliance software
· Ability to analyze problems quickly and accurately and adopt solutions within established guidelines. If problem is beyond scope, seeks advice or resolution from the Director of Quality Advancement
LICENSES, BACKGROUND CHECK, REGISTRATIONS and CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current Driver's License AND eligible to meet driving insurability standards. No more than five points against driver’s license. Proof of car insurance; your name will need to appear as a designated driver if policy is not in your name
- Undergo a background investigation in accordance with rule 5123:2-2-02 of the Administrative Code and consent to be enrolled in the Ohio Attorney General’s retained applicant fingerprint database (“Rapback”)
- Cannot be included on the following databases: The list of excluded persons and entities maintained by the Office Inspector General in the United States Department of Health and Human Services; DODD’s Abuser Registry; the nurse aide registry; the sex offender and child-victim offender database; the United States General Services Administration System for award management; and the database of incarcerated and supervised offenders listed on the Abuser’s Registry or Nurse Aide Registry
- Successfully completes and maintains all Agency-required training
- Ability to pass a drug screening according to Frontier Community Services’ Drug-Free Work Place Policy
A physical examination will be required (including a TB questionnaire) to determine the physical ability to perform the duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member may be required to sit for a specified time (staff meetings, trainings). The team member is occasionally required to keep balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Some individuals may become physically aggressive toward self or others, and this may require the team member to physically redirect and/or physically restrain through Therapeutic Assault Prevention System (TAPS) maneuvers. This requires physical flexibility and endurance, emotional calmness, the ability to follow the ISP and implement the approved intervention techniques according to Agency policy.
- The team member must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. The team member may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate due to talk and movement of others in the office environment and the use of normal household appliances. The noise level can increase at times contingent on events and activities in the office.
- Exposure to body fluids and blood-borne pathogens is possible due to the nature of our daily operations.
